Education, not healthcare
The course provides general educational information and self-reflection exercises. It does not provide diagnosis, psychotherapy, medical treatment, psychiatric care, crisis intervention or individualized healthcare advice. Using the course does not create a therapist-patient, doctor-patient, counselor-client or other regulated professional relationship.
No promise of results
People respond differently to exercises and coaching. Positive Friend does not guarantee improved mood, health, relationships, performance, happiness, outcomes, or any particular result. You decide whether an exercise is appropriate for you.
Difficult feelings are not failures
The course encourages constructive and realistic thinking, not denial. Sadness, anger, fear, grief and other difficult emotions can carry useful information. If an exercise increases distress, stop it and seek appropriate support.
Coach requests
Submitting interest in a coach or human guide is only a request. It does not guarantee contact, availability, suitability, matching, credentials, response time, a professional relationship or any result. Any later coaching arrangement should have its own scope, qualifications, confidentiality terms, fees and agreement.
Urgent and professional help
If symptoms, thoughts, emotions, substance use or behaviour are causing significant distress or interfering with daily functioning, consider contacting a licensed mental-health or medical professional in your area.
