Who may use the service

The default service is intended for adults aged 18 or older. Do not create an account if you are below the configured minimum age. The operator should review age/parental-consent rules before changing this setting or intentionally offering the service to children.

Educational purpose

Positive Friend provides general educational material, reflection prompts and well-being exercises. It is not psychotherapy, diagnosis, medical treatment, emergency support, legal advice, financial advice or another regulated professional service. The Disclaimer forms part of these Terms.

No professional relationship

Using the website does not create a therapist-patient, doctor-patient, lawyer-client or other regulated professional relationship. Expressing interest in a coach does not itself create a coaching relationship. Any later coaching service should use a separate agreement that identifies the coach, scope, qualifications, confidentiality, fees and cancellation terms.

No guaranteed outcomes

No particular result is promised. You are responsible for deciding whether a practice is suitable for you and for seeking qualified help where appropriate.

Accounts

Provide an email address you control, keep your password private and do not share your account. You may export or delete your account from the Account page. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, users or legal obligations.

Your reflections and submissions

You retain responsibility for what you write. Do not submit unlawful content, threats, another person’s confidential information, medical records, identification numbers or highly sensitive information that is unnecessary for the course. Do not use the service to harm, harass or impersonate others.

Optional life-wisdom sharing

Users in a configured age band may voluntarily submit a short life-experience note and separately permit the operator to create a short, positive, de-identified essence for other users. The original submission must never be published directly. The operator may reject any contribution. By submitting, you confirm that you have the right to share the content, that it does not violate another person’s rights, and that you have not included unnecessary personal information about yourself or others. You may withdraw a pending or approved contribution from the Account page.

Your permission is limited to operating this Positive Friend sharing feature. It does not grant the operator a general right to use your private source text for advertising, sale, public attribution or unrelated purposes.

Email

Positive Friend may send necessary account and security messages. Gentle course reminders are sent only when you opt in and can be turned off at any time. The email address is not an emergency service and a personal reply is not guaranteed.

Coach and support requests

Requests are expressions of interest only. They do not guarantee contact, response time, availability, suitability, qualifications, matching, a professional relationship or any result.

Service availability

The site may change, be unavailable, lose features or be discontinued. Keep your own copy of anything important. Do not use the website as the only storage location for information you cannot afford to lose.

External services and translations

External links and translation services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Positive Friend does not control their content or availability. Automated translation can be inaccurate, especially for legal, health and safety information.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the website design, original course copy, branding and downloadable rewards are provided for personal use through this service and remain subject to the operator’s intellectual-property rights. Users may print the personal reminder poster for themselves or share an unmodified personal copy unless the operator states otherwise.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis without promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete or suitable for every purpose. Nothing here limits statutory rights that cannot legally be waived.

Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from reliance on general educational content, unavailable features, user choices or external services. This clause does not exclude liability or consumer rights that the law does not allow to be excluded.

Changes to these terms

The operator may update these Terms when the service changes. Material changes should be presented clearly and, when required by law, users should be asked to accept updated terms before continuing.

Applicable law and disputes

Configure this after review by a lawyer familiar with the countries where you offer the service. Mandatory consumer and privacy protections in the user’s country may still apply regardless of any chosen-law clause.
