The default Positive Friend build deliberately avoids advertising and analytics trackers.
Strictly necessary session cookie
The application uses a first-party session cookie named positive_friend_session. It is needed to keep introductory answers temporarily, protect forms, keep you logged in and remember your selected language during the session.
How long?
The cookie is configured as a session cookie and normally expires when the browser session ends. The server-side account data is separate and is described in the Privacy Notice.
Local display preferences
The browser may also store your language and light/dark-mode choices locally on the device using localStorage. This is used only to remember choices you made, including after logout. It is not used for analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking.
No advertising or analytics cookies in the default build
There are no advertising cookies, analytics cookies, social-media pixels or embedded third-party marketing trackers in the supplied build. The default build does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Review local requirements for functional browser storage before public launch in each jurisdiction you serve.
If you add tools later
If you later add analytics, advertising, embedded videos, chat widgets, social pixels or other technologies that store or access information on a user’s device, review the cookie rules for your users’ countries first. You may need prior consent and an updated privacy/cookie notice before enabling those tools.
